Re-potting chicory, sage, and Moldavian melissa on a very warm afternoon at home, moving the plantlets from the seedbeds to smaller separate pots. From there they’ll go into the vegetable garden. Summer will be hot and long, but the reclaimed water tanks are full after so much rain, and the mulch is rich and full of nutrients.
We’re spending much of our time at the farm, harvesting the camomile flowers and either drying them on large nets and trays, or distilling them directly. This is still the investigation and experimentation stage, but the oils and hydrolates we’ve made so far are excellent and we’re overjoyed!
