We’ve been busy in the vegetable garden at home, mulching the large section of cover crop that we’d planted in early December then covering it with our thick black plastic for a few weeks before we transplant the seedlings that are growing in the nursery.
The crop was a rich mix called biomultidora made by a company called Arcoiris of spelta, pea, common vetch, black oat, clover, horse radish, rocket, phacelia, and white mustard. It’s rich in carbon and nitrogen, and the radish and mustard fumigate the soil. This fabulous stuff regenerates and enriches the soil’s rich natural ecosystem of microbes and bacteria. The vegetables will love it!
