This fabulous man is our friend Luca Pettinari. He’s the guy you call when you need a certified specialist to prune your trees. It was Luca who completely reshaped our grove a year ago, and he’s back, to inspect and trim and prune again. Every branch that hits the ground makes us gasp, but the man’s a pro.

Polyconic vase pruning directs the branches outwards and upwards, pulling the lymph of tree from the trunk up into three or four main branches. This opens the middle of the tree to sunlight and air, and makes them healthier and more vital. The results have been extraordinary, and we can’t wait for this year’s harvest!
