Your privacy
We keep your data safe
We are committed to the ensuring the security of your information, respecting your privacy rights, and complying with all Italian and EU GDPR regulations.
Cookies
Olevo does use some cookies when you browse this website. These are called ‘session cookies’ and are used only to improve your experience and ensure the proper function of the site. They don’t identify you as an individual – they are totally anonymous, but we have to tell you about them.
These are what are called ‘strictly necessary’ cookies, and we’re allowed to use them. They are used, for example, to remember your language preferences or the items you place in the shopping cart, to provide security measures, and to ensure that your browser loads pages and content quickly.
We do not use third-party cookies, i.e. cookies placed on our site by another service or website. We also don’t use any advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use any analytical services to monitor your activities on our site, so we don’t use their cookies either.
Deleting cookies from your browser is your right and responsibility and depends on your preferences.
Personal information
When you send us a message using the contact form your name, email address, and message will be emailed to us (as you would expect). We use this information only to reply to you, and keep it private.
When you sign up for our newsletter we save your email address, of course, and use it only to send you the newsletter. We don’t send any unsolicited mail, we hate spam, and don’t give your email address to anybody else.
If you make an account we save all and any of the information that you enter when making the account, which is the point, and you are giving us permission to do so. This can include your name, email address, shipping and billing address, payment details, fiscal code, password, and order history.
We take the security of this information very seriously, and don’t give any part of this information to anyone else under any circumstances. We don’t use this information for any other reason or purpose except to help you use our website and purchase our products.
Transaction information
When you buy something, we record your name, physical addresses for billing and delivery, your email address, the transaction date, list of purchased items and their price, shipping costs, and tax details. We do this even if you don’t have an account, and have to do so to complete your transaction.
This information is used only for our own administration, to process your order, and for our financial and tax records. No part of it is shared with or sold to any other third party, and any approach to us from anyone else would be refused.
When you pay using the Stripe credit card payment gateway or Paypal, they record your personal details, your credit card number, the amount of the transaction and the date. They also record technical details about the browser and the device you are using, and your IP address.
It’s important to state that all Stripe and Paypal transactions are processed by them, not us, using their own data servers and security measures. This means that we ourselves do not process your payment or store your transaction details. It also means that by using their services you are entering into a legal agreement with them, not us, and this falls under the jurisdiction of their privacy policies, not ours.
Deleting your data
If and when you decide to remove any or all of this personal information from our site you can send us an email requesting that we delete your account details, purchase history, newsletter subscription data, and all database information. We are required by law to carry out all such requests.
Your data is yours.
