Hard working days at both the farm and the grove at home. We’ve planted another row of cornflower at the farm between the olive trees, seeded the grove at home with nitrogen rich wildflowers, and begun planting more seed beds of summer vegetables in the nursery.
Work on the large oak trees at the edge of the property took four days, but we have the beginnings of next winter’s wood supply. The heating and hot water system in the house throughout the cold winter months is supplied entirely by an integrated combination of our solar panels on the roof, wood fire, and natural pellet heater, so it’s important.
