That’s Marco, high up in our largest oak tree on the edge of the slope at the front of the property at home, pruning branches that loom over the road below. It’s difficult work for him and his team, and requires judgement and nuance to keep the tree balanced, strong, and still looking good.
We’re on the ground, chopping and sawing and stacking the wood for next winter’s heating supplies, and taking moments to prepare a quote for an inquiry about our tapenades. It’s sunny and windy, and suddenly much, much colder, so apparently we’re not done with the winter heating just yet. But we’re not at the top of a tree…
