These are lovely warm Spring days, with the occasional cold grey nonsense, so we’ve started work in the olive groves, cleaning up after the winter months, and pruning the basal shoots, the vegetative little branches that sprout around the base of the tree.
At the end of the month we’ll get our pruning specialist back in to have a look at his work from last winter. The trees are in excellent health and the polyconic vase pruning that opens up the middle of the trees has been extraordinary. They’re thriving, and growing fast. We hope for a great harvest this year!
