The rim of the trailer, draped in a sheet and filling up with the early morning olives harvested and sorted before we take them to the mill at the end of the day. The trailer will be full, crates will be stacked in the boot and backseat of the Jeep, and we’ll be tired but happy.
The weather is good and the olives are excellent. Better than we thought and more than we expected, and there are widespread reports in the region of terrible harvests and groves compromised by a fruit fly infection. Luckily we’ve been spared here at the farm, so we have much to be humble and thankful for!
