The side path down to the storerooms at the farm in the afternoon sunshine, with the beautiful wisteria tree in bloom above it. We’ve started work there, beginning with a long hard day cutting down the favino cover crop in the grove and around the greenhouses and edges of the property with the hedge trimmer.
We’ve taken delivery of truckloads of vegetable compost, cut large plastic sheets to fit the greenhouse tables, and started work mulching the favino and topsoil of the grove grounds with the motocultivator. After that, we have to spread the compost and start measuring out the plant beds. Busy week!
