Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the two newest members of the Olevo family: Beetle and Bitly. They cost a bomb, we had to wait a month for delivery, but they’re here, they’ll transform the way we work, and they’re beautiful. Beetle is the tractor mower, a riding mower marvel from Cab Cadet that looks like a dune buggy in a fetching yellow, and Bitly is a multi instrument monocultivator that will strip topsoil, mulch branches, dig ditches, and probably make coffee if we ask nicely.
We are weeks into a heatwave here in Viterbo, so we work fast and smart and plan carefully, doing what we can in the morning heat, inside work in the afternoons, and tending the regenerative gardens in the early evenings before sunset. We’ve given the plants and vegetables extra nutrients to cope with the heat, and done big dumb jobs like ripping up an old floor at the farm in the afternoons when the heat is unbearable.
