Repairing the roof of the storage facility and the small outbuilding on the terraces at the farm. This involves pulling up the tiles, laying new undersheets, securing and waterproofing the joins, building better drainage systems, then re-tiling the roof. There’s a lot to do just on these two buildings, including cutting away all the vines that have crawled up the walls, and we have to schedule this work in conjunction with everything else.
We’re busy pruning the trees that line the property overhanging the road, and finishing clearing the new open grove. The last part of that, now that we’re removed all the fencing and fence posts, is digging out the four iron gates with a jackhammer, which is slow, hard work. Because we’re cheapskates, we’re doing everything ourselves except for those things that we absolutely can’t or don’t know how to do.
