The grove at the farm in the middle of a very hot summer day. We had mulched the cover crop and turned the earth in early May, and the sun burned off the rest of the grass, so the ground is ready for us to start building the plant rows and irrigation system at the end of summer.

We’re spending a lot of time on administration, documentation, research, and tech work on these hot afternoons. We’re getting back to a lot of jobs we let slide during a busy first half of the year, but there’s so much to do, and so much more still waiting for us to do. It’s a bit much…
