The greenhouses at the farm are ready, and the first job is to propagate the aloe vera plants we already have to supplement the ones we’ve bought. This involves carefully removing the pups – the little baby offshoots at the base of the plant – and replanting them, plus a few carefully cut and potted healthy leaves as well.
It’s rained a lot during a few cool and grey days, which is excellent for the favino plants in the grove that we’ve just mulched. While it rained we had to track down an international shipment that took a detour to the port in Genoa, and hosted a tasting day of our tapenades at a local cooperative shop!
