Harvest season ends with checking and repairing the olive picking nets then folding and storing them until the following year. Management supervision is taken care of by various assistants, but not always necessary, or particularly helpful… . But it’s been a good year, with fine weather perfectly timed because the temperature dropped and storms rolled in as soon as we’d finished.
The oil is bottled and stored and the labels are being printed so we hope to announce that this year’s harvest is on sale very shortly, but our attention turns in the meantime to building the greenhouses at the farm and making the tapenades for the coming year, with the return of our fabulous truffle sauce, black olive tapenade, and sweet and sour onion preserve, PLUS what we hope will be a new product or two!!
