Last day of harvesting, with the olive trees beside the house wrapped in nets and ready for work. It’s been an excellent harvest; good weather, healthy trees, fine olives, and an excellent crop with a generous yield. We’ve had months of drought and heatwave in the region, but our groves have gifted us more oil that ever, which is excellent news for all the plans we have!
Still to do is a bunch of administration and getting the new labels printed, but the oil is bottled and stored in our new facilty across town at the farm, and we’ve had numerous inquiries from friends and customers as far away as the United States asking us when they can order. Soon, we promise! In the meantime we’re preparing this year’s tapenades, rebuilding our email platform, and preparing for work on the greenhouses.
