A very hard working week at the farm that included cutting down a few big dead trees, removing ivy from walls and roofs, cutting back a lot of heavy undergrowth, clearing up a lot of debris, and beginning repairs on the irrigation system in the grove and greenhouses. There’s still so much to do, and the tractor broke beyond repair and we’ve split a few pipes being dumb so they have to be fixed too.

But at the end of the day we try to get to the regenerative gardens back at the house, exhausted or not. It’s planting season for a number of the babies from the nursery that have sprouted happily including potatoes, corn, turnips, silverbeet, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, soya beans, and all sort of summer salads. The weather is warm and sunny, but there’s also been a few days of good rain, so it’s the perfect time to plant!
