Looking down to the house from the grove on a chilly but sunny winter’s day. There’s been plenty of rain this winter, so the trees are well nourished, but February has been very mild and dry, which has given us the opportunity to clear the grass from around each of the trunks and plant a rich mixture of fresh manure and natural compost that we’ve prepared to give them a midwinter boost. A treat
The coming month we are busy with another large export order, repairs, and reorganising the way we work with the farm and the groves. We’re also busy preparing the next batch of tapenades, taking courses to increase our knowledge, making backend changes to the website, and talking to our suppliers and local sales points. The olive trees are happy and don’t require much from us at this time of year, so this is an opportunity to do everything else!
