Clearing and preparing the ground at the top of our first olive grove in the hills overlooking Viterbo for a larger vegetable garden, following the principles and implementing the techniques we’ve studied and learned about regenerative no-dig farming.
We’ve cut and removed the grass, prepared the compost using the mulch from our pruned olive trees, and are bringing in and laying down mineral rich manure and hunting around for thick black plastic to cover the area for the coming months. After which we’ll put down the compost, plant, and cover everything with hay.
